Fast Stone® Cement Dry Blends Powered by Qwix™

The Fast Stone® family of cement dry blends has been specially formulated to respond to the precaster's need for faster setting hydraulic cement mixes and lightweight cast parts.

Fast Stone® blends start with Portland cement (gray or white) and Qwix™ in various ratios depending on specific processing or demolding criteria. Portland/Qwix™ ratios can be adjusted to reduce normal Portland cement demold times from overnight to a few hours using regular production techniques or as little as 30 minutes when using the Rimcaster continuous mixer.

The Fast Stone® line, available in gray or white, is formulated to be mixed with various combinations of sand, pigments, Forton VF-774, water, plasticizer and AR fibers to achieve the producer's desired results.

The Fast Stone® LT line, also available in gray or white, contains lightweight aggregates and sand that when mixed with pigments, Forton VF-774, water, plasticizer and AR fibers will give castings in the 65-75 pcf range while maintaining short demold times.

Fast Stone® C and CS are specially formulated products for GFRC countertops.  Both incorporate VCAS 160 to provide a denser cast surface, while maintaining the short demolding times of the Fast Stone® family.

Fast Stone® dry blends can be custom formulated to include alkali resistant glass fiber, pigments and sand, or a combination of lightweight aggregates to meet individual producer's production needs.

Note: the W/C ratio and plant temperature will influence the set times and the demold times of the Fast Stone mixes. The higher the W/C ratio and the cooler the plant temperature, the longer the set times and demold times.

Plasticizer:	Fast Stone®:	ADVA Series from W. R. Grace or Glenium from BASF are suggested.
	Fast Stone® LT:	ADVA Cast 555 from W. R. Grace is suggested.
